Solid wings with lots of flavor choices from savory to sweet to spicy. The chicken sandwich was MASSIVE....could have used a little more sauce (I'm a saucy gal so that may be personal preference) Overall, good spot and better than wing stop
I've been to their locations in Vallejo, Fairfield, and Sac and I was craving some wings so here I am. I came in and ordered the 8 wings combo with rice substitute inside of fries. The two flavors I picked were salt and pepper and Thai chili. The food was solid. The service here was okay. Nothing too crazy. The inside of this restaurant has about 7 tables. Sometimes the parking can be difficult depending the time of the day. All in all a solid wing place to go to. Try it out if you like. :)
I ordered Fire Wings through Doordash because I'm lazy and financially irresponsible so I only can rate the food and nothing else. I was craving wings and ordered from their San Mateo location that is in downtown. What I ordered for my friend and I: - Large Garlic Noodles - 20 Piece Wings (Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parm, and Dragon Wings) - Seasoned Fried for the Side I would say what I didn't love personally was the garlic noodles because you couldn't really taste the noodles so they were more like cheese noodles. The wings do hit though. Especially the dragon flavor. What is dragon flavor? I couldn't tell you, but it's good and has a nice sweet tangy flavor to it. The wings are also pretty crispy still despite being delivered. The only flavor I was a bit down on was the garlic parm which is for the same reason as the garlic noodles which is a big lack of garlic flavor so it was like eating cheese wings. They load them up with parm though. The lemon pepper also was great and they definitely have more lemon flavor than some other spots, but it wasn't overpowering. The seasoned fries were seasoned to perfection and good enough on their own to the point where you don't even need to dip them in anything, but they are amazing with ranch. I got introduced to Fire Wings recently and I enjoyed it a lot. I would order from here again.
Located in Down Town San Mateo near other surrounding businesses. My group ordered Fire Wings and then headed to a neighboring boba shop to complete our meal. I ordered the 10 piece wing in the flavors Korean Kick and Dragon. The food came out rather quickly (less than 10 minutes) but on busier days, such as the weekends food tends to take longer. The wings were crispy and the dragon was my favorite. It's sweet and salty with the perfect kick. The Korean Kick reminds me of the Korean Q at Wingstop. The wings were good and I recommend giving these flavors a try.
Located in San Mateo Downtown, parking is plentiful but at times may be difficult to find. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. 10 wing combo with Garlic Parmesan and Dragon (4/5): The meat was flavorful and tender. The fries were absolutely amazing. They were flavorful and so crispy. I did wish the food was hotter though. I thoroughly enjoyed the wings as they slid off the bone easily. Tap to pay is accepted. The food is delicious and the service is good. San Mateo Downtown is also very nice as the roads are closed off which makes it feel quite spacious.
I recently ordered the Mango Habanero wings, and they were absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this wing flavor. The wings had the perfect balance of spice and sweetness, delivering a delightful kick that was both satisfying and flavorful. Each wing was impressively large and incredibly juicy, making every bite a treat. The food was served promptly, ensuring that my meal was fresh and hot. Overall, this dish truly satisfied my craving for wings and exceeded my expectations.
Fire Wings offers bone-in chicken wings, boneless, tenders, sandwiches, salads, a variety of carb-loaded sides, and plant-based Beyond Meat. Wings break down to about $1.30 to $1.50 a piece, cheaper per piece when you order larger quantity overall. There's an extra charge if you want all flats or all drums; by default, your order is a mix of the two. Fire Wings has two deals: Mondays & Tuesdays $0.85 boneless (minimum 5 per order) and Wednesday "Wingsday" $0.88 bone-in (minimum 10 per order). Having tried both the bone-in and the boneless, I prefer the bone-in. The skin provides an extra layer of crispness and joy that the boneless just doesn't offer. There's 21 flavor options: 7 each of classics, dry-rub, and fusion. My personal favorite is the lemon pepper (dry-rub), which has a nice bright citrusy flavors and very mild peppery notes. Service is friendly and quick; when dining in, they deliver your food to your table. Wet wipes are provided to clean your hands pre/post meal, but they also have one single bathroom if you prefer to wash your hands. The restaurant has several tall and regular tables inside, and a few tables outside on B Street that's blocked off from traffic that's perfect for warmer days. It does get busy during peak hours and especially on their deals days, so come early if you want to dine in and have minimal wait time.
First time trying fire wings and it was good!!! The fries were surprisingly tasty and the wings were consistently good. The diversity of seasoning is what attracted us. Decent with about 7-8 tables indoors and 6-8 outside. Ordering was fast and the service was fast! My only point of improvement is wiping down tables before another group enters. Otherwise, solid spot! Big Mitch
Food: We tried the wings, which were cooked to perfection. Peanut Butter 4.5/5 - totally delicious and different from what flavored wings I usually get. The Thai Chilli flavor was a winner as well, 4.5/5, unique and packed with flavor. Service: The staff were super friendly and really helpful. They suggested the sale they offered (which I didn't notice), like 85 cents per wing, when they saw we were a bit indecisive. Plus, there were multiple soda options, which was a plus. Ambiance: We popped in on a Wednesday evening, and while it wasn't too busy when we arrived, it started buzzing after we ordered. The place was neat and tidy, with a cozy vibe. Perfect for kicking back and chilling with the homies.
On Monday's and Tuesday's, Fire Wings has 85 cent Boneless wings. Decided to try it out and wasn't disappointed. The salt and pepper was my favorite. I was sad the mango habanero wasn't wasn't spicy at all. I gotta try the deal for 88 cent traditional wings on Wednesday next!
